Exciting Collaboration for Black Business Growth in Nova Scotia: BBI and CBDC Bluewater Sign Memorandum of Understanding
We are thrilled to announce that The Black Business Initiative Society (BBI) and CBDC Bluewater have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking a pivotal moment in the ongoing effort to foster sustainable, inclusive economic prosperity in Nova Scotia.
This partnership reflects a shared commitment to empowering Black entrepreneurs, promoting business development, and advancing economic opportunities within our communities. By combining the strengths and expertise of both organizations, the MOU paves the way for future collaboration that will benefit Black business owners, emerging entrepreneurs, and the broader economic landscape of the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM).
Key Objectives of the MOU:
- Promoting Black Business Growth: Through joint programming, events, and networking, we aim to create more opportunities for Black businesses to thrive and expand.
- Business Development Support: BBI and CBDC Bluewater will collaborate on fostering trade opportunities, strengthening business networks, and supporting entrepreneurship.
- Youth Engagement: A particular focus will be placed on encouraging youth participation in entrepreneurship, providing pathways for the next generation of business leaders.
- Supplier Diversity: The partnership will work towards advancing supplier diversity, ensuring more inclusive participation in local and regional markets.
